As tempted as I am to share The Mouse Moral, it is the essence of the book, “Seven Blind Mice” by Ed Young, and I don’t want to take away from your reading of the book. For those who have already enjoyed this delightful book with your children, you know what I mean. For those who haven’t - what a treat that’s in store for you and your children.
Geared towards children ages 3-7, the book is a Teacher’s Pick on Amazon and has received a Caldecott Honor award, for good reasons. Its layout makes it easy to follow and colorful illustrations add to the story. Parents may want to encourage their children older than 7 to read this book to their younger siblings (age 3+), so the older child could benefit, too, from the book’s message.
This holiday season, why not give the gift of this book with a powerful message to your children. They not only get to enjoy an interesting and entertaining story, but a story that will enhance their listening skills. That is a priceless gift!
